Styles within the currently selected Quick Styles set are available in the Styles group in the Home tab.
To change the Quick Styles set, click the Change Styles button in the Styles group in the Home tab, point to Style Set, and then click the desired style set at the drop-down gallery.
You can change the colors and/or fonts applied by styles in a style set.
Default is the default Quick Styles set. To change this default, change to the Quick Styles set you want as the default, click the Change Styles button again, and then click Set as Default.
Apply styles in five ways: click the style thumbnail in the Styles group, click the More button and then click the style at the drop-down gallery, use the Quick Styles button on the Mini toolbar, use options at the Styles task pane, or use options at the Apply Styles window.
Click the Styles group dialog box launcher to display the Styles task pane.
Display the Apply Styles window by clicking the More button in the Styles group and then clicking Apply Style at the drop-down gallery.
You can create a style based on existing formatting or on style formatting or by modifying an existing style. You can also create a new style without first applying formatting to text.
Save styles you create as a custom Quick Styles set with options at the Save Quick Style Set dialog box.
An advantage of applying styles is that when you modify a style all text in the document to which that style has been applied is automatically updated.
You can find and select all occurrences of a particular style at one time.
Display all available styles in the Styles task pane by changing the Select styles to show option at the Style Pane Options dialog box to All styles.
Reveal style formatting by hovering the mouse over a style in the Styles task pane, clicking the Show Preview check box in the Styles task pane, or by turning on the display of the Reveal Formatting task pane.
Delete a custom Quick Styles set at the Save Quick Style Set dialog box.
