Read, Think, and Explain. Discuss with a partner how to compare and contrast historical figures.

1. In this selection, Harriet Tubman is compared to several historical figures, but the title of the selection makes an immediate comparison to Moses. Using details from the selection, explain the basis for this comparison.

2. Throughout the selection, Tubman is also compared to her friend Frederick Douglass. Explain how these two people were both alike and different. Use details from the selection to support your ideas.
