Dear Educator,
As a former researcher in memory, learning and psycholinguistics at the Gestaltist
Institute for Cognitive Studies at Rutgers University and as a past clinical
neuropsychologist, and presently too, as the Headmaster of a college-prep private high
school, I have had many opportunities to critically survey, test and study the effectiveness
of many foreign language teaching methodologies. Furthermore, in my mind, (as a
speaker of five languages), foreign language learning assimilation is the primary vehicle
for preparing developing youngsters to effectively perform in a world replete with
complex simultaneous processing tasks. Thus, I have a keen interest in the speci alized
cognitive skills tapped by the design and graduated learning styles displayed in the
Symtalk approach to teaching language. The attractive apprehension of stimuli and
concomitant verbal associations lend the particulars of vocabulary, grammar and speech a
natural contextual cue for subconscious rehearsal, storage and retrieval. In fact, the
resulting graduated increase in language acquisition by students of all ages and in any
language far surpasses any linguistic teaching technique known to me. Symtalk will
doubtlessly become the universal language tool for all schools. I love it!
