Read the Prereading information on page 342 and share any information you have about Bob Dylan or any of the other artists mentioned in the reading. Then divide a notebook page into three sections, one for each stanza.
As the teacher reads the folk song, jot down key ideas in each stanza. Then reread each stanza, adding more information about what the artist wishes for his audience.

Summarize what each stanza says. Share your summaries with the class.
