Ken Haedrich is a food and travel writer, editor, cooking teacher, and the author of numerous cookbooks and hundreds of food articles. He is also the father of four children, none of whom likes to chop onions—they say it hurts their eyes. Haedrich is a regularly contributing writer to several magazines, including Bon Appetit and National Geographic Traveler. In 1992, he won the Julia Child Cookbook Award for Home for the Holidays.
