Annie Dillard has written many books and essays about her life, about nature, and about her experiences in nature. She has also written poetry collections. Dillard was born in 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is currently Adjunct Professor of English and Writer in Residence at Wesleyan College in Middletown, Connecticut. Her most well-known books include An American Childhood, The Writing Life, and Living by Fiction.
