Barbara and David P. Mikkelson are a husband and wife team whose hobby is to collect urban legends and to investigate the truth behind each legend. David is a self-proclaimed public affairs officer for the mythical San Fernando Valley Folklore Society. He and his wife have developed an Internet site that provides an extensive collection of popular legends in categories that range from horror to wedding legends, and includes whether or not the legend is true or false based on the research done by the San Fernando Valley Folklore Society.
