Provides speaking practice by having students read aloud the symbol sentences. As students' language acquisition progresses, they will not only speak, but also listen, write, and read in the target language; Mi mundo develops all four skill areas. Starting in Level 3, students write the sentence on the line beneath each symbol sentence in the Practice Book. Students develop listening skills as they listen to their teacher and classmates speak; they also complete listening activities recorded by native speakers. Starting in Level 2, students read short passages to develop reading skills in Spanish.
